I am thankful for some of the incredible highs of 2014...
- My biggest highlight... I got MARRIED to an amazing man on 11.11.14!
- We had an incredible honeymoon in Jamaica.
- Our children were a part of our day and our wedding party.
- I opened my new natural light studio in Nappanee on South Main St.
- I celebrated 4 years of full-time photography and 11 years total of shooting in general.
- I focused my work on specifically weddings and babies in order to niche my brand.
- I shot 186 sessions and 23 weddings.... Thanks to my awesome clients! YOU ROCK.
- I was featured in the spring publication of Wedding Day magazine. I shot their cover and a theme photo shoot for them. High honors and entirely grateful for such an opportunity.
- My son entered high school and my daughter junior high, such a privilege to watch them grow.
- My handsome husband turned 40... lucky him he doesn't look his age.
- I celebrated my dear Grandmother turning 90.
- I taught 5 workshops.
- I traveled in August to South Carolina to see my beloved niece and also be filmed for a documentary that included both her and I - called The Journey. What a privilege.
- I moved from Wakarusa to Nappanee into an 1,800 sq. ft. super cool, character filled apartment downtown. My neighbors are a coffee house and a chocolate/candy store. I may never move again.
I am thankful for some of the anticipations of 2015!
- Babies and Weddings will be my only focus for this new year! {happiest two things on earth!}
- I am almost entirely booked with weddings for 2015! Yay!
- I plan to re-work the studio a bit to better accommodate my baby photography.
- In May I shoot a wedding in Germany {meet my pen-pal and friend Swea} and then travel to Paris with my husband!!!
- In May I will also celebrate a half decade of exclusively being a full-time photographer, no other job.
- I hope to vacation with our three children to somewhere amazing... not sure yet where.
- The Journey film will be *hopefully* done and tribute given to loved ones we miss.
- I hope to expand my workshops offered into marketing/branding, along with a wedding workshop.
- I hope to find more time for creative sources, projects. Drawing, photographing just for me.
- I hope to run more, I looooove running. 5K and even a 10K.
Every day is a gift. Each year has it's share of sorrow and happiness. I hope to always see the glass half full.
